The great Real Madrid CF also is known as Los Blancos. This club has achieved possibly everything that a club could ever achieve. It is important to note that this club has cabinets full of prestigious trophies.

Of course, the famous El Classico when they lock horns with fierce Barcelona F.C. Real Madrid was founded in 1902 it was at first known as Madrid Football Club. It was until the year 1920 when King Alfonso came up with the name Real, which simply means royal.

It was the years that Real Madrid was most successful especially after it had won four consecutive Copa del Rey titles from the year 1905 to 1908. By the time world war two broke out Real Madrid could boast having won two La-Liga titles and won 7 Copa del Rey titles.

The years that followed after it was glorious for the club. A large number of fans from all over the world grew tremendously and the club so significant tournaments in the football world too. The number of La-Liga titles increased to 14, and they got five additional Copa del Rey trophies. As years proceeded by the club continued to witness immense success. In the year 1966, the club added another European title to their tally after beating Partizan Belgrade 2-1 in the final of a European Cup.

Unfortunately, the decade was closed out on a sad note due to the passing of legendary Santiago Bernabeu Yeste in the year 1978.

When telling the history of the Real Madrid club, it would be wrong to leave out the name of General Franco. The dictator was the foremost leader in Spain, and his leadership lasted for more than five decades. It is important to note that his favourite team was Real Madrid.
